Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) is using Lookout Call to support its remote working staff.

The organisation, which provides free and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities, offers home visits to anyone who is unable to get to a CAB centre.

To keep track of staff on home visits, Exeter CAB previously used a buddy system whereby staff would call a colleague in the office to let them know they had finished an appointment.

But with requests for home visits increasing, the charity decided to implement Lookout Call’s mobile based lone worker safety system after hearing good reports about the system from another CAB branch.

“We no longer have to ask our staff to check on each other so the system allows us to be a lot more efficient,” said Steve Barriball, Chief Executive Exeter CAB. “We can offer more home visits and be confident in the whereabouts and safety of our workers.”

“We’re very happy with the service we’ve received from Lookout Call. The system is easy to use and, after a half day’s training, staff were ready to use the system. Managing changes online is also quick and simple.”
